The Brain or the Heart?

I don’t think I’m only speaking for myself when I say: I’m always thinking “What if?”

There are many times in life when you end up thinking about what could have, would have happened, if you’d done something differently. You think about, and analyze every little mistake and situation, wondering how you didn’t see the outcome.

If I studied harder, I would have gotten a better grade!

I knew I shouldn’t have trusted her, she stabbed me in the back..

I keep giving, and giving, but nothing seems to be worth it.

Great, now everyone knows about my secret…

He’s such an asshole, how was I so blind?!

Hey, I didn’t want cheese! etc..

Yeah, every one of those went through your mind at some point in your life, and you still regret it. Okay, maybe not all of them.. Word of advice?  STOP. Or do I need to get a huge STOP sign with neon lights for you to get that? You know what you gained? Lessons that no book, teacher, or parent could give you. & you learned it yourself, in the real world. This we call: REALITY. You learn from it, you get up, you move on.

The way people move on makes me sad, though. Some people become angry, some aggressive, some heartless, and others assholes.

What is that? Are you in some kind of world where you think being mean and heartless is gonna get you somewhere in reality, or give you more respect? Some people shut down their hearts, and over exhaust their brains to the point where they forget what it’s like to FEEL.

The heart, which is the reason you’re alive, would not carry one bit of evil or wrong. The brain, on the other hand..  Yeah, the one you’re so proud of, is the reason for all corruption in life. The brain’s task is to learn and organize, not tell you what to do. Have you ever heard the saying “follow your heart”?  Well, not many people here do that..

Yeah, it’s hard when you’re raised thinking that your heart is foolish and the brain will get you somewhere, but it’s doable if you want it to be.

I haven’t been doing this for so long, but I’ve been using my heart ever since I realized this; and I’m damn happy, I can tell ya that.
