The Waiting Process..

It’s in every human’s life-story to wait.

Wait? For what?   For an answer you want. For a reason you need. For a sign you crave. & maybe for an ice-cream scoop.

I don’t really mind waiting for an ice-cream scoop, but it’s those other things you wait for. They’re making seconds feel like hours. Days like years.

Maybe some things we wait for might not ever happen yet, we wait. Even if our guts tell us to just let go.

We can’t help wanting things sometimes, especially when it really means something to us.   Sometimes, all we need is a clear answer. A real, solid, sure reason to forget about it.

The chances of that happening when most of the time, it’s something hidden in our heart’s wishlist, are less than 0.1%.

If it doesn’t happen, is it my fault for not saying anything?

If it doesn’t happen, am I always gonna think about it?

If doesn’t happen, am I gonna be okay?

Well, I don’t know.  Cause if it doesn’t happen, it just wasn’t meant to be.

Sometimes, we forget that our lives are already written in a sacred book, that Allah has written himself.  He knows the timing of every smile, the fall of every tear, and the loss of every heart. But he’s the only sure thing in our lives, and you gotta trust that something that sure, knows what’s right.

It’s hard. Cause you might think that’s the thing that’s gonna make you happy. It’s the thing that will make you feel satisfied and content with life, and everything will be okay. What if it’s not?

What if your idea of what it was going to be, was just a pretty picture of it?

I’m not saying it’s a bad thing to want things. I’m not saying don’t try. I’m just saying, Allah knows what’s meant to be, and if it doesn’t happen, it’s okay. You’ll be alright.

So, don’t give up if you think it’s right.

Don’t forget if you believe in it.

Don’t miss a chance, just take it.

But in the end, if it doesn’t happen, don’t regret it.

Love the experience, learn from the process, and live with the knowledge that the best is yet to come.
