Gold Plated

It’s a world full of pretentiousness. One where people preach goodness, unity, and truth – when all they do is spit poison right and left.

It gets harder every day to connect. It gets harder every day to trust. It gets harder every day to show people who you truly are, without acting so grand so they’ll take a second and look a bit deeper. I think we can all see through people if we tried hard enough.

It’s just funny how some people walk around like they’re solid gold, when in reality, they’re nothing but gold plated.
